’Twas time for a new way to boost incremental sales at both Metro and Food Basics. Food and entertainment were claiming bigger slices of Canadians’ holiday spending pies, private label profitability was on the rise, and the Irrésistible brand had been refreshed in late 2024. That meant the brand was perfectly positioned to intercept festive shoppers and convert holiday intent into higher-margin sales.

It’s a wonderful, but busy, time of year. We wanted to meet shoppers on their way, so they didn’t have to go out of their way. That’s where Union Station came in. Host to more than 300,000 daily commuters, it was the ideal place to capture last-minute shoppers en route to holiday gatherings. It also offered unmatched visibility and convenience for Canadians who prefer locally made food products like those from Irrésistible.

Designed as a modern, chic condo, the immersive space invited commuters to explore holiday hosting essentials, pantry staples, décor inspiration, and giftable items. A kitchen-style checkout with exclusive offers linked engagement directly to purchase. Plus, daily sampling, rotating giveaways, and holiday-themed pairings encouraged taste-testing, repeat visits, and brand love.
