Challenge

Overcoming the Challenge

The onset of COVID-19 resulted in cancelling all in-person, hands-on experiential campaigns for the foreseeable future, including Health Canada’s Consider the Consequences of Vaping program. This program was educating teenagers aged 13-18 about vaping at high schools nationally and remained a priority despite the pandemic.

Strategy

A Unique Way of Approaching The Problem

During a time when virtual learning was still a new and confusing concept, we needed to develop an innovative, fun, and engaging presentation. Repositioning existing content, we worked with Health Canada to create an impactful campaign to share in virtual classrooms across the county.

Solution

The Proof Touch

Teachers invited us into their classrooms, where our relatable Information Ambassadors delivered a virtual learning experience. By incorporating various audience engagement tools, including interactive activities, videos, real-time quizzes, and the ability to submit questions anonymously – we established a ‘safe space’ where students felt comfortable and confident asking any question about vaping.

Results

Project Impact

Over the two-week campaign, teachers and students provided positive feedback on the interactive and engaging approach. They specifically praised our Information Ambassadors for providing a different experience from their regular classroom setting.
